Yes, it’s always your choice whether or not to accept an assignment. However, you are expected to honor your commitment once you have accepted a shift.
How do I become a healthcare professional with ProCare One Nurses?
The first step is to complete an application form, available on-line. If you prefer, you can request an application by mail or download one from our web site or call us at (888) 747-7600. You must also complete our testing process, but you can either come into the office or finish most of it on-line at your convenience. We’ll also need copies of key documents, such as your license, CPR, TB skin test and health statement.
Do I have to work a minimum number of hours?
No, you don’t have to work a certain number of hours. Our benefits program may entice you to work full-time, but if you really just want to pick up an extra shift per week, that’s fine too. The key is for us to understand what it is you’re looking for so we can help meet your requirements. You’re not committed until you accept a shift, so it’s up to you.

With connections to more than 150 hospitals in southern California, we’re able to keep our nurses busy. The key is to be as flexible as possible about where and when you’ll work. Am I under any obligation once I submit my application?
No. Your application is simply used to qualify you so that we're ready to match you once you decide to accept an assignment.
I work full-time at another hospital. Can I work a shift a week at other facilities in my area?
We won’t be able to send you to your current employer, but many of our nurses prefer to work an extra shift elsewhere to avoid burnout. Based on your availability, we’ll find you work in other facilities in your area.
How am I paid?
ProCare One pays weekly. Direct deposit is the easiest way to receive wages, but checks can be mailed or sent overnight upon your request. If you’re in a tight situation, we also have next day pay available.

The majority of ProCare One nurses join after hearing about us from our current staff. We reward you by paying one of the highest referral bonuses in the industry.

We have comprehensive medical, dental and life insurance policies for which you are eligible the first day of the month following the start of your assignment. For example, if your date of hire is May 19, your insurance starts June 1. ProCare will also pay your COBRA expenses from your previous employer so that you won’t lose a day of coverage.
Can I take time off between assignments and keep my health benefits?
You can enjoy full, uninterrupted insurance coverage provided you start your next shift/assignment with us on or before 30 days from the last day of your previous shift/assignment.
Do you have a 401(k) plan?
After 90 days of employment, you are eligible to participate, even if you work only one day per month.
If I applied today, how soon could I work?
We can usually get you working the same week, but it depends on how quickly we can complete your file. If you have given us all of your credentials and health documents, then you can be working in a matter of days.
